
Fr. Andrew Dalton
Fr. Dr. Andrew Dalton, LC, is a Catholic priest of the Legionaries of Christ. A Professor of Theology at the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum in Rome, Italy, where he teaches the Synoptic Gospels and Biblical Greek and Hebrew.
Fr. Dalton is a key member of “Othonia”, the international organization responsible for educating people about the Shroud of Turin through exhibits, educational initiatives, conferences, and lectures presented by the Science & Faith Institute of the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum. Othonia has strong relationships with Shroud experts worldwide and is an authoritative source for the most up-to-date information on the Shroud from historical and scientific perspective, as well as its relationship to the Scriptures.
As a key board member of Othonia, Fr. Dalton worked with international Shroud experts and developed an English-language Postgraduate Diploma Program in Shroud Studies. He teaches the Pastoral and Biblical Approach to the Shroud for that program.
Fr. Dalton is a well-known international speaker on the Shroud. His approach bridges the gap between scientific observation and theological interpretation. He has lectured in Asia, Australia, and the Americas and was once featured on a widely viewed “Pints with Aquinas” Podcast. Fr. Dalton has recently spoken to audiences at World Youth Day, SEEC, and the National Eucharistic Congress.
